Genuine or quality replacement? Decide line by line, not list by list
We list genuine parts and quality replacements side by side, on purpose. The decision between them is rarely a decision about the order. It is a decision about each line.
The question is what the part is holding
A line is worth the genuine part when the failure takes the machine with it, or when the fit depends on a tolerance stack that was designed rather than measured. Crank and rod bearings, liners, injection components, timing drive — get these wrong and one teardown erases the saving.
A line sits comfortably as a quality replacement when it is a wear item, when it fails gradually and visibly, and when it is changed on a schedule rather than on a breakdown. Filters, hoses, many seals, body and cab items, lighting.
| Lean genuine when… | A quality replacement is comfortable when… |
|---|---|
| Failure damages the engine | Failure is gradual and visible |
| Fit depends on a tolerance stack | It is a scheduled wear item |
| Access cost is high — a deep teardown | It can be changed at the next service |
| The machine is under a service commitment | The machine is out of warranty and worked hard |
Where the saving actually is
Applying "genuine everything" to a full rebuild buys reliability you already had on half the lines. Applying "replacement everything" saves money right up until one line fails and the labour swallows the difference several times over.
Buyers who do this well tend to split roughly along the table above, and they do it once — then reuse that split as a standing instruction on the next order.
What we do and do not claim
We are a supplier, not a test house. We do not inspect your parts, and we will not tell you a replacement is equivalent to a genuine part when the answer depends on your machine, your duty cycle and your service commitment. What we do is put both on the same line with the references that let you compare, so the choice is informed rather than default.
